Car Insurance Isuzu (Car Insurance). help with a car stereo with 2 subs mid and highs.?help with a car stereo with 2 subs mid and highs.? ok so im building a car stereo for my car and im using 2 12inch subs with 900watts rms and 1200 peak power. along with 2 150watt full ranged speakers for the door. that will provide the high and mid sounds. my question is what amp should i use? how many watts? how many channels? can i only run the subs off the amp and run the mids and high right off the head unit, or will that mess with the power going to the amp? would it be better to use a 1500watt 2-channel amp for the subs and a smaller amp for the mids and highs? how many amps should i use? if i only use one amp for all the speakers how many channels should i have? and my last question is, how do you filter out the high sound from the subs and the low sould from the mid and high speakers? i know its alot of questions but pleas answer them all, thanks. Use a 2 channel amp with at least 1800 rms. The for your mids/highs get a four channel amp and match up the rms on each. For your last question your need a high pass filter and low pass filter. Some head units have this and most amps have it. Use the low pass filter on your amp for your subs. And use a high pass filter with your mids and highs. My sub amp has a built in lpf and my 4 channel has a hpf. Try to find a 4 channel amp with a hpf. Good luck! Auto parts : Rotor Adapter Screw Acura 1995 . Running Board Gap Strip Alfa Romeo 1996 . Isuzu . How to Install a Serpentine Belt on a Chevy S10 PickupThe 1994-2003 Chevy S-10 pickups have the same serpentine belt-routing process. The serpentine belt is one complete belt that controls all of the accessory pulleys on the front of the engine. Once the serpentine belt breaks, it causes all of the accessories on the engine to stop working. The serpentine belt on the 1994-2003 Chevy S-10 pickup can be replaced in just a matter of minutes. Difficulty:Moderately Easy Instructions Things You'll Need 3/8-inch drive pull bar Notepad Pen New belt Step by Step : 1 Open the hood and locate the serpentine belt tensioner. The belt tensioner is what keeps the tension on the belt so that the belt does not come off of the pulleys. The belt tensioner is located directly below the alternator. The tensioner has a 3/8-inch square opening right below the pulley on the tensioner. 2 Locate the serpentine belt-routing diagram on the top of the fan shroud above the radiator. The diagram will be a drawing of the serpentine belt being routed around the pulleys. If you cant find a serpentine belt diagram, take a pen and notepad and draw out the exact direction that the serpentine belt is routed across the pulleys and the tensioner. 3 Slide the 3/8-inch drive pull bar into the square opening on the belt tensioner. Turn the belt tensioner counterclockwise to relieve the tension off of the belt. 4 Slide the belt off of the belt tensioner with your other hand. Let the tensioner go back to its normal spot. Finish removing the serpentine belt from the remaining pulleys. Pull the belt out and set it to the side. 5 Slide the belt in and put the belt around the crankshaft pulley first. Then, follow the belt-routing diagram for routing the belt across the remaining pulleys. Be sure to leave the belt tensioner for last. This is so it will be easier for you to slide the belt on the tensioner while holding the tensioner over. 6 Slide the 3/8-inch drive bar back into the square opening on the belt tensioner. Turn the belt tensioner clockwise. Slide the belt over the top of the belt tensioner. Release the belt tensioner so that it tensions against the belt. The tensioner will hold the proper tension against the belt. 7 Inspect the belt to make sure it is routed the exact way that the diagram shows. Also, inspect to be sure the belt is completely seated into the pulleys. 8 Crank the engine. While the engine is running, go back and inspect the belt again to make sure that the belt is running evenly over the belt tensioner and that the belt remains seated inside of the pulleys. 9 Turn off the engine and close the hood. Tips & Warnings If you have trouble getting the belt onto the crankshaft pulley from the top, route the belt over the crankshaft pulley from under the front side of the engine. Always remove the keys from the ignition before working around the front of the engine to avoid accidental cranking. Do not let the pull bar touch either of the battery posts. This will cause a short and sparks will fly. If you want to be safer, remove the positive battery cable before starting the serpentine belt replacement process. Isuzu . How to Remove a Serpentine Belt on a 1989 Chevy Caprice ClassicThe 1989 Chevrolet Caprice Classic was a popular car for Chevrolet, and was used as a police car by many police departments across the country. Some models included a serpentine belt system, which replaced the V-belt systems found in previous models. This belt tends to last longer, and can be removed in about 20 minutes. Difficulty:Easy Instructions Things You'll Need 1/2-inch breaker bar Replacement serpentine belt Step by Step : 1 Open the hood and locate the sticker under the hood with the belt routing diagram. If you can't find it there, look at the owner's manual in the glove box, or draw a diagram depicting how the belt is currently installed. 2 Place the end of the 1/2-inch breaker bar into the end of the tensioner at the top of the engine, just to the left of center. Turn the breaker bar counter-clockwise to release the tension on the line and then pull the belt off of the pulleys. 3 Route the replacement belt onto the pulleys according to the diagram under the hood or in the owner's manual. The belt won't go all the way around yet, but try to get it around as many pulleys as possible, without kinking or stretching the belt. 4 Turn the tensioner counter-clockwise using the 1/2-inch breaker bar and slide the belt over the last pulley on the left, then release the tensioner onto the belt. Perform a visual inspection of the belt, making sure it's not kinked or twisted along the way.Once you're sure it is OK, start the vehicle and make sure the belt runs straight. Shift back into gear (for a manual transmission) or Park (For an automatic transmission) before lowering the vehicle to the ground. Flushing and Changing Brake Fluid If, after checking your brake system, you find that you have a leak or you have to bleed your brakes (see the section "Bleeding your brakes" for more information), you'll have to restore the brake fluid in your master cylinder to its proper level. Here are some things that you should know about buying and using brake fluid: 0 Always use top-quality brake fluid from a well-known manufacturer. Most vehicles call for either D.O.T. 3 or D.O.T. 4 fluid. Sometimes the type of fluid to use is listed on the master cylinder reservoir cover or cap. * Exposure to air swiftly contaminates brake fluid. The oxygen in the air oxidizes it and lowers its boiling point. Brake fluid also has an affinity for moisture, and the water vapor in the air can combine with the brake fluid to form ice crystals that make braking difficult in cold weather. Adding water vapor-contaminated fluid to your brake system can rust the system and create acids that etch your wheel cylinders and master cylinder and foul your brakes, causing them to work poorly — or not at all. Therefore, if you're going to add brake fluid to your system, buy a small can, add the fluid to your master cylinder, and throw the rest away, Isuzu . Nissan Altima. * .Chapter 18: Being a Buddy to Your Brakes and Bearings or use it only in emergencies. The stuff if pretty cheap, and your car shouldn't need more fluid after you fix a leak. If you keep a can with only a little fluid left in it, the air that fills up the rest of the space in the can contaminates the fluid, no matter how quickly you recap it. Keep brake fluid away from painted surfaces — if eats paint. (If this stuff seems scary, remember that the same statements can be made about turpentine and nail polish remover.) You should flush and replace the fluid in your brake system every two years. To do so, follow these steps: 1. Use an old turkey baster, or a cheap plastic one, to remove the old, dirty fluid from the master cylinder reservoir. 2. Use a lint-free cloth to wipe out the reservoir, if possible. Isuzu . Pour new brake fluid into the reservoir until it reaches the "Full" line, replace the cap or lid, and then follow the steps in the next section, "Bleeding Your Brakes." As you bleed the brakes, the new fluid pushes the old fluid out of the system. Continue to bleed the brakes until you see clean, clear fluid exiting the bleeder screw. Bleeding \lour Brakes For those cars with squishy-feeling brakes, the way to get the air out of the lines is to bleed the brakes. To do the job, you need either a brake bleeder wrench or a combination wrench that fits the bleeder nozzle on your vehicle, a can of the proper brake fluid, a clean glass jar, and a friend. 1. Behind each of your brakes is a little nozzle called a brake bleeder screw (see Figure 18-13). Reaching this bleeder screw may be easier if you jack up the vehicle (see Chapter 1 for instructions and safety tips). If you're going to crawl underneath, lay down an old blanket or a thick layer of newspapers first to keep from getting chilly on days when the ground is cold. If you really want to be comfortable, beg or borrow a creeper to lie on and slide around with easily. (I describe creepers in Chapter 2.) 2. Special wrenches called bleeder wrenches fit the bleeder screw and can prevent rounding the screw's hex-head. Find the proper wrench or socket that fits the screw and loosen the screw. Isuzu .
